Under Dirk’s leadership, Sunrise Organic Dairy is one of the country’s largest organic milk-producing farms, yielding approximately 400,000 pounds of high-quality organic milk daily. This achievement is the result of dedication, hard work, and a commitment to excellence. The farm encompasses two state-of-the-art milking barns, 5.5 thousand expansive acres, and a thriving herd of 5.5 thousand cows.
With a strong sense of responsibility towards the environment and the community, Dirk Reitsma ensures that Sunrise Organic Dairy operates with the utmost integrity. The farm is home to a dedicated team of 100 employees, each contributing to the farm’s success and the delivery of wholesome organic milk to consumers. Dirk’s visionary approach to dairy farming has earned him certifications in Organic, non-GMO, and Validus, a testament to his unwavering dedication to producing milk of the highest standards.
Jesus Hurtado’s journey in the dairy industry is a testament to his determination and commitment to excellence. With over 30 years of experience, he began his career as a milker, learning the nuances of the trade from the ground up. Today, he manages his own dairy, Hurtado Dairy – a thriving operation that reflects his hard work and expertise.
Under Jesus’s guidance, Hurtado Dairy produces a remarkable 2,000,000 pounds of conventional milk daily. This achievement is made possible through the operation’s eight advanced milking barns, housing a robust herd of 28 thousand cows. Spanning 5 thousand acres, the dairy is a testament to Jesus’s leadership and to the dedication of his 300+ employees.
